BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS
School bookings are usually arranged at least one term in advance. There are a few prerequisites:

Adequate road access for two articulated lorries, the trailers are 35ft long, 8ft wide and 13ft high.

|
Firm level parking area for the two trailers, plus space for manoeuvring lorries. Parking on grass problematic.

·
|
Five 13amp power sockets within 100 metres of the parked trailers, electricity supplied free.

·
|
Local volunteers to assist with pupil supervision, three volunteers per school session are needed.

·
|
Overnight accommodation is normally requested for one (male) road show staff member.
|
Before accepting a booking, road show staff will usually visit the venue well in advance to check the above points.
Two other matters need consideration:

The level of security for unattended vehicles.
|
|
·
|
The possibility of adult group visiting, requiring electricity supply and open gates till about 10pm.

Till at least March 2011 the Emmaus Road Show will be based at the Urban Saints Centre at Westbrook near Ryde on the IOW.
Schools on the IOW are invited to arrange for groups to visit the road show at Westbrook, or to request that the road show is staged at or near their school.
